Speaking The Language

I was in the train today to work and standing next to me is 2 deaf-mute guys who talk to each other using sign language. I was amazed on how fast their hands move equivalent to how fast they telling the stories. It makes me wonder for a while whether they can catch up on what the other person is saying. I also wonder whether there are different sign languages, or people in different countries speak different sign language and it turns out that there are lots of sign language and different countries do speak different sign language. It makes me sad somehow to think that deaf-mute people that travel overseas find themselves lost in translation. But it happens to even normal people like us and this language barrier that do happen to deaf-mute people somehow make me feel like what is the different between them and us. We are all the same. We are born normal but incapable of certain things (like swimming for me :) ) and they born impaired but maybe they have good eyesight or sharp in body language.

Lost in Translation

Anyway, I learnt that communication is approximately 30% verbal and 70% body language (the figure might be wrong but it somewhere there), so it is interesting sometimes that you do speak the same language with other person but you don't understand what you've been talking about at all. I was out with Mr.Bf last Monday, and we ended up disagreeing over something. I don't know, the more me or him try to explain further,  the more it became complicated and confusing. We are speaking the same language but we are not SPEAKING THE SAME LANGUAGE. I believe our mind totally not in-sync that night hence we don't understand each other at all. So you do have to get connected to speak the same language (eyes, body, mind?!)

Me and Mr.Bf not SPEAKING the same language

My maid is Javanese Indonesian and she doesn't speak English at all. I was impressed the first time she talk to Mr.Bf and he understand her and vice versa. Where on the other hand, I speak Malay and understand a bit of Indonesian but I always find myself lost with her and she does different thing than what I ask. There my problem is I hear but I don't LISTEN.

I went to KFC this morning in KL Central to buy my breakfast and there was this fight between a lady customer and the cashier. The lady wants to buy coffee and the cashier told her that okay but if you buy together with the breakfast set, it will be cheaper and worthy. The lady simply shake her head without even letting the cashier finish her words. After the cashier gave her the coffee and punch the cost, she said oh I just realize that it will be cheaper with the breakfast set. DUH!!!! People are funny sometimes, they tend to blame others without thinking what actually happen and how did you contribute to the mess in the first place. Well I am sometimes not excepted.

Well, it's a good thing to reflect. So start from today I will LISTEN.

P/s: The two deaf-mute guys in the train actually talk to their friends today via video call. How cool is the technology?!?

Monday Excitement

I've been singing to "This Little Light of Mine" in my mind all morning today. I need to get it out of my systems! So let me singing it for you guys!!

This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine.

Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine.

P/s: I feel like an African American kid with braided hair holding candle right now!

I ate CAT pill (and Turning into Catwoman???)

Few weeks before, I was down with fever, my whole face was swollen because of Sinusitis and flu make it worse.

my swollen face was something like this minus the smile

The first day that I got it, I just want to get rid of the flu, so I check the medical supply that we have at home. After few minutes ransacking it, I found one pill with "flu" written on the package. Without even thinking I gulped it down.

this is the pill

When Mr.BF came back that evening, I asked him about the pill and show him. To my surprise, it was our previous cat, de La Rey's pill (he died because of skin disease, and that pill is for that!). Maybe our maid wrongly slot in the pill in the package. I am so scared that it will change me. If I change into some sexy feline like catwoman will be good, but what if I change into something hairy? Goodness no! After few days of waiting, I felt better but the thought of eating that pill, is scary! Totally...

meow.....

p/s: what is the weirdest medication that you ever took?

Bloody Mess Accident

On my third day in South Africa, I was still trying to adjust to the weather, making me looked like a mess in the process. The weather is so cold, my skin was dry and scaly. All lotion that I put, ended up as one layer of powder over my skin. I think probably because the pH was wrong. Maybe next time I buy the lotion there. My lips was cracking up and my face grew few pimples, so the least I can do is put on make up and maybe trim my eyebrows?
So that morning, I took a very hot shower, put on my best clothes (we are going to Pilanesberg, a game reserve!), starting to put moisturizer on my face and ready with the trimmer. It's already 8.00 in the morning and Mr.Bf and the kids were in his brother's (Mauritz) next door, so basically I am late for breakfast. As I was trying to take off the cap of the trimmer, I wont go off, so I tried and tried and finally put a strong force on it to take it off. And zap! I saw the bone on my finger as it cut open! I was in shocked and the pain was not registered yet in my head. So, I stand there and thought to myself, maybe I should finish with my make up! (Mr.Bf called me vain, now I know why). Then I saw blood, dripping like crazy. So finishing make up totally out of question. I rushed to Mauritz's and knocked the door. It was locked. I knocked and knocked and Mauritz opened it.
I said, I am sorry, can you help me?
Mauritz probably didn't hear me and told me its okay breakfast still on the table.
Then I told him, No, help me my finger is bleeding!
Then he saw the cut, ushered me to the table, washed his hand and clean my wound, asked Mr.Bf to get ready and we drove to the hospital.
It was Sunday, we have to call the doctor (he was having breakfast)
The doctor was really sweet, came with his jeans and Tee, and he told me its a wrong place to commit suicide, yeah right! He gave me three stitches and the rest of it just went well. It cost us (Mr.Bf actually, he sweet enough to pay) R1200 which is around RM600! Well, lesson learned, never got into accident in S.Africa. It is freaken' expensive! Now the wound is totally healed but I still have post traumatic syndrome when I saw knife or anything like that. Any idea how to overcome this?

p/s: Didn't trim my eyebrows for almost 2 months now, if you ever saw a girl with bushy eyebrows, let just pretend it is not me, okay?

After the doctor gave me "the three stitches". They didn't clean the blood! It was my first time having stitches so now I am considered MACHO! he he

After a week

After 2 weeks, Mr.Bf removed the stitches then

Note: wait for my S.African trip reviews tomorrow!

Is That the Way to "Get" Girl???

I received an email in my facebook from a guy named Lambert S**** today. He "accidentally" came across my profile somehow in "people you might be interested in". I got few emails like that before, well maybe few is not quite the word, I got hundreds of email like that before in my Imesh. Let me be frank, it freaking me out! What it trying to show? Seriously, for guys out there, do you think that by sending random email to girls, begging to take you as boyfriend / partner and eventually husband is going to work? (well maybe for desperate woman), but for me, that's way too cheap! What happen to "buy-you-a-drink-then-we-can-be-friend-first". Seriously Lambert, try to look to another direction, because I am N.O.T interested.
Anyway, here is the email. You guys be the judge whether this is the correct way to get a girl.

Woman, Hold Your Chin Up High!

I watched the First Wives Club the other night, story about three women that being left by the husbands for younger women. It is hilarious but then the message that they try to send to people is noble.
Woman born with few things "advance" than man, we blessed with two assets compare to man, we live longer than man, we experience childbirth, multiple orgasms etc etc etc. But once we being dumped by "the Man", we become self-loathing, we stop feeling good, we blame ourselves! For what? Are they going to come back to us when we demoting ourselves like that?

I have lots of divorce cases in my family, I myself is a divorcee. I understand feeling useless and lonely. Few times I feel like taking revenge, and there are times that I threw my pride and dignity in self hatred to show how miserable I am so that they learned a lesson. But believe me, the universe doesn't work out that way.
There's nothing you can gain by crying and blaming yourself. Instead, make yourself happy. Happiness is just the state of mind. You don't need other people to make you happy. If working make you happy, be career oriented, if dressing up, looking good, feeling sexy make you feel happy, then go out, meet people, talk about your problems and how you handling it. As soon as you can remember, the people that put you in this wrecked situation will regret it. But You, you gain respect, you are happy and for most you are BETTER.

Cheese can make your BREAST smelly

The Situation
This morning, I packed up a slice of cheese to eat at work. In the car, I showed it to Mr. Bf. Then he said, "Do you know that cheese can make your BREAST smelly?"
I was astounded, then I asked, "How do you know? Can you smell it?"
He gave me a very strange look. Then he asked, "Did you eat it already?"
I said no.

How My Mind Works
I quiet then, and have a deep thinking. I was try to recall any event that my breast might be smelly (I love cheese!). And being me, I will always try to reason with anything. Then my mind give me this explanation that maybe because cheese is made from milk, and breast also produce milk, so these two don't match up, thats why if you eat cheese, your breast might be smelly.

Truth Kick Off (Finally)
After about 5 minutes of deep thought, my sanity finally kicks in and I asked MR.BF again. "Are you sure that  Cheese can make BREAST smelly?"
He said, "WHAT?"
and it turns out that he was talking about BREATH!!!

my hearing is deteriorating by days....goodness!
